The embroidery is inspired by an abstract view of a coral reef, examining the intricacies of the coral through 3D beading. Glass beads in soft greys and pale pinks have been hand stitched onto a grey linen base to mimic the coral forms.
As the hoop is moved the beads move, bringing the hoop to life.
The artwork has been framed in a 3 inch embroidery hoop.
The piece has a depth of 2.5cm(including the beads).
Every embroidery is signed and dated on the back of the hoop.
There is an option to purchase the embroidery with the handmade wooden stand. These stands are great for displaying your hoop on a bookcase, side table or shelving unit. Equally the hoop can be displayed without the stand, hanging the hoop on the wall with a nail or hook style command strip.
